Woodcarving Display, 2026

Our club members rearranged our woodcarving display case four times in 2026, and we hope you enjoy the themed arrangements below. We carve together and mentor beginners every week, and we’re proud to display our carvings in the lobby where we meet—the Adult Recreation Center in Los Gatos.

Hand-carved wooden animals and fish in a "Lake View" display by Santa Clara Valley Carvers. The top shelf shows shore animals, and the bottom shelf features various colorful fish carvings.

October 2026: Lake View

Lake View, an arrangement that plays with the idea of a water line. On the bottom shelf, you find what lives in the lake: a green trout, a stylized Alaskan salmon, and a group of folk-art fish. Above the “surface” are the things that float on it or stand on the shore: a big blue-headed duck, a heron, a bear, pine trees, and colorful flowers.

Contributors: Al Furtado, Alan Aldrich, Connie Wilson, Dan Brady, Jack Thompson, Joanne Carroll, Roman Chernikov, and other carvers.
