In the Fall 2025 issue of the Chip Chats magazine, you’ll find our article by Roman Chernikov detailing our collaboration with Scouting America Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council on page 8: how we train local scouts in woodcarving, help them earn merit badges, and participate in events such as Scout-O-Rama.

Summer 2019, Woodcarving Illustrated magazine, #87: Roman Chernikov, a SCVC member, shared his chip carving patterns in the Summary Supernova Coasters article on page 39. We are pleased to share those easy-to-carve coaster patterns on our website: Chip Carving Patterns for Beginners.

Summer 2018, Woodcarving Illustrated magazine, #83: Chip-Carving a Summer Scene by Roman Chernikov on page 34. In the article, Roman shared two chip carving patterns: Forest and Palm. You can find the patterns along with other chip carving designs on Roman’s website, READ N TRY.
