Making Whirligigs & Other Wind Toys

Authors: Sharon Pierce; 1985, 128p

The whirligig, an amusing relative of the weather vane, is a figure with paddle-type arms that whirl in the wind. Although these were used in the past to show wind direction and velocity, they were more often used as children’s toys.

Donated to SCVC by David Osterlund in 2026.
