It is a nice little book, the instructions are clear and the photos are helpful. That said, I felt the content was a bit limited — probably because penknife carving itself doesn’t offer as many possibilities as full carving with gouges or chisels. The examples in the book are fine, but not very detailed, and I found myself wishing for more step-by-step projects or variations.
Still, it’s a decent book for beginners who want to get comfortable with the penknife and learn the basic cuts.
